Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Sunday with a negative performance after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) retreated 32.44 points, or 0.41%, to 7,846.93 points.
TASI’s trading volume reached 117.11 million shares, down from 166.16 million on Thursday, while traded value fell to SAR 2.45 billion ($653 million), from SAR 3.46 billion ($921.3 million).
The pharmaceuticals, transportation, telecommunication services, banks, and materials sectors levelled down 4.17%, 1.94%, 0.84%, 0.67%, and 0.43%, respectively.
On the other hand, the capital goods sector increased 1.19%, while the insurance sector rose 1.09%.
Saudi Ground Services Co’s stock was the worst performer with 6.01%, whereas Saudi Industrial Export Co’s (SIEC) stock was the best performer with 10%.
Alinma Bank’s stock, fell 1.11%, generated TASI’s highest volume and value after 15.6 million shares were exchanged, generating a turnover of SAR 335.64 million.
In the meantime, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, went up 3.52 points, or 0.14%, to finish the first session of the week at 2,522.73 points.
Al Kathiri Holding Co.’s stock was Nomu’s best performer after surging 18.31%, whereas Development Works Food Co.’s stock led losers with 5.95%.
