TASI down, Nomu extends rise early Tuesday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) opened Tuesday slightly down, whereas the Nomu-Parallel Market index extended gains for the second day in a row.

The benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) slipped 0.11% or 8.26 points to 7,244.25 points by 10:38 am Saudi time.

Turnover on the index amounted to SAR 338.87 million after 14.56 million shares were traded through 11,300 transactions.

A total of six sectors traded down, led by energy which fell 3.6%, followed by real estate and materials with 0.4% and 0.25%, respectively.

On the positive side, 13 sectors were in the green, led by transport with 0.66%, while the media sector grew 0.5% and the telecoms and banking sectors increased 0.19% and 0.11%, respectively.

Shaker’s stock led losers, sliding 6.2%, while National Gas and Industrialization (GASCO) led risers, surging 4.1%.

Meanwhile, the main index (NOMU) of the Nomu-Parallel Market rose 0.45% or 16.53 points to 3,681.14 points.

Abo Moati’s stock was the sole riser on Nomu, adding 1.7% to SAR 12, while Al Kathiri and Arab Sea edged down 0.2% and 0.08%, respectively.
