TASI closes Tuesday in green

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Tuesday’s trading in gains, after declining for the week’s first two sessions.

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed at 8,138.40 points, rising by 0.32% or 25.7 points, on the back of major market sectors, as banks and materials added 0.58% and 0.07%, respectively, while energy lost 0.36%.

Traded volumes decreased to 148,54 million shares, compared with 151.23 million shares on Monday, while values reached SAR 3.57 billion, down from SAR 3.8 billion yesterday.

Vitrified Clay Pipes was the top gaining stock and surged by 5.96%, while Saudi Cable led the losers and dropped by 9.98%. In total, 114 stocks closed in gains, while 69 ended the session in the red zone.

Meanwhile, Dar Alarkan was the most actively traded stock with 10.86 million shares, while Al Rajhi saw the highest turnover at SAR 331.66 million.

On the other hand, the Nomu-Parallel Market lost 0.41% or 29.56 points and closed at 7,162.08 points.
