Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Thursday 0.44% or 31.57 points higher to reach 7,261.13 points.
Trading volume dropped to 114 million shares on Thursday against 137.36 million shares on Wednesday, while traded value fell to SAR 2.52 billion ($671.2 million) from SAR 2.89 billion ($769.87 million).
The food and staples retailing, telecommunication services, materials, and banks sectors increased 2.32%, 1.25%, 0.68%, and 0.14%, respectively.
On the other hand, the energy sector decreased 0.55% and the food and beverages sector declined 0.45%.
Tihama Advertising and Public Relations Co’s stock surged 6.25% to SAR 37.25, whereas Alujain Corporation’s stock levelled down 2% to SAR 23.20.
Al Inma Bank led in terms of trading volume after 33.6 million shares exchanged, generating SAR 522.77 million.
Meanwhile, the Nomu-Parallel Market index gained 1.46% or 52.53 points reaching 3,645.95 points.
Raydan Co’s stock grew 4.4% to SAR 23.20 and Al-Omran Industrial Trading’s stock increased 2.76% to SAR 19.38.
