Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) rose at the closing of Sunday’s trading session, backed by the energy, telecommunications, and banks sectors.
The general index increased 0.22% or 9.52 points to close at 4,348.74 points.
Turnover dropped significantly to AED 64.74 million on Sunday from AED 206.32 million on Thursday, while trading volume halved to 46.17 million shares from 92.51 million.
The energy sector led gainers with 0.92% after its stock TAQA rose 5.26%.
The telecommunications sector and its stock Etisalat added 0.29% each.
Meanwhile, the banks sector was up 0.29% after Sharjah Islamic Bank grew 2.24%, while Invest Bank surged 11.11%.
On the flipside, the real estate sector shed 0.31% after Aldar Properties declined 0.9%.
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) was the most active in terms of turnover with AED 11.65 million, while Manazel Real Estate’s stock was the most active in terms of volume with 11.4 million shares traded.
