Cairo – Mubasher: Suez Customs collected EGP 3.849 billion in customs duties, taxes, and other charges during September.
The total value of taxes and customs duties collected for imported goods at Suez Port recorded EGP 1.101 billion during the 10th month of 2021, according to a statement by the Ministry of Finance on Sunday.
In addition, the value-added tax (VAT) amounted to EGP 2.383 billion, while other charges imposed on these goods reached EGP 339.913 million during the month.
The imported good included strategic commodities, production inputs, and general cargo, such as yarn, textiles, electric appliances, receivers, plastics, petroleum products, cars, and spare parts.
Moreover, the port exported goods that included sand, juices, cosmetics, and poultry feed at a total value of EGP 12.828 billion. Charges collected for the exported goods reached EGP 7.431 million, while fines and other charges registered EGP 14.936 million.
