Cairo – Mubasher: Head of General Authority Suez Canal Economic Zone Yehia Zaki announced the signing of a concession contract with the Bolloré Toyota Tsusho NYK global consortium, according to Ahram Online.
Under the contract, the consortium will operate East Port Said Ro-Ro terminal with build–operate–transfer (BOT) system, Zaki said.
A quay of 600 metres in the western side will be used, while the consortium will run the Ro-Ro terminal on an area of 270,000 square metres.
The consortium said it will invest $150 million in equipment and infrastructure of the project, with the aim of expanding its capacity to handle around 800,000 vehicles at the station.
