Dubai – Mubasher: UAE-based Strata Manufacturing, owned by Abu Dhabi state fund Mubadala Investment Company, on Thursday announced that it has signed a five-year deal with German logistics giant DHL Global Forwarding.
Under the agreement, DHL will provide Fourth Party Logistics (4PL) services, according to Strata’s statement.
The deal aims at slashing Strata Manufacturing’s shipment times, as the German postal and logistics group will be responsible for all warehousing, freight and customs clearance of aero-structures produced at Strata’s facility at the Nibras Al Ain Aerospace Park.
Moreover, the logistics partner will establish a 2,500 square metre warehouse in Abu Dhabi for to consolidate and store Strata’s shipments.
Commenting on the partnership, Ismail Ali Abdulla,Strata CEO, said, “DHL global freight networking and warehousing infrastructure, coupled with its expertise in handling the sensitivities of aerospace products, will support our goals for further international growth.”
DHL will also offer end-to-end control tower services from manufacturing facilities in Al Ain to the warehouse in Abu Dhabi and DHL’s European warehouses.
