Shams announces resignation of 3 independent members

Riyadh - Mubasher: Tourism Enterprise Company (Shams) announced the resignation of three independent members from its board of directors and various sub-committees.

The resignations, submitted for personal reasons, became effective on 14 July 2026, according to a bourse filing.

The departing members include Badr bin Hamad Al Qadi, who served on the Investment and Development Committee, and Wael bin Abdulrahman Al-Bassam, a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

The third outgoing official is Ziad bin Ibrahim Al Afaleq, who held a position on the Audit Committee.

All three board members originally commenced their terms on 28 May 2024. The company expressed its gratitude to the departing directors for their contributions and efforts during their tenure.

The disclosure did not immediately name replacements for the vacated seats or the associated committee roles.

Shams is a Tadawul-listed firm focused on tourism and hospitality projects within the Kingdom.

The firm commenced the electronic voting for its Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) following an initial invitation issued on 24 June.
