Serco Middle East names new country director for Saudi Arabia

Riyadh – Mubasher: Serco Middle East has named Mona Althagafi as the new Country Director for Saudi Arabia to enable the company’s growth in the region and the kingdom.

Althagafi joins Serco as part of the executive management team and is the first woman to be appointed as a country director for Saudi Arabia, according to a press release on Tuesday.

Moreover, Althagafi will take responsibility for the operational delivery of Serco’s core offering of data, asset, and workforce management and help drive new business growth in 2021 for both Serco Saudi Services and Serco Saudi Arabia.

In addition, she will contribute to the establishment and growth of the Citizen Services business in the kingdom to support Vision 2030.

Mona has more than 20 years of local experience working in the kingdom. She has previously served at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in Riyadh, leading the planning of the Smart Government Strategy as well as the planning and execution of the e-government programme (yesser) strategy.

“In the kingdom, Serco is committed to supporting Vision 2030 and is working in partnership with the government to realise its ambitions whilst maintaining its focus on nationalisation. A big part of this includes working with key ministries to write policies, set agendas, and advise on commercial models. I’m excited to contribute to this important work,” said Althagafi.
