Schlumberger inks training deals with 4 Egyptian universities

Cairo – Mubasher: The world's leading oilfield services company Schlumberger Limited has signed several agreements with four Egyptian universities to provide training for their engineering and science students.

The agreements were signed with Ain Shams University, the American University in Cairo (AUC), the German University in Cairo (GUC), and the British University in Egypt (BUE), according to a statement released by the Minister of Petroleum on Thursday.

Schlumberger has allocated $30 million to software grants under the signed agreements, Schlumberger’s managing director in Egypt and East Mediterranean Karim Badawy said.

The US-based company will provide students with training that comprises several practical and training aspects.
