Savills appoints property, facilities management leaders in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh – Mubasher: Real estate advisor Savills Middle East has named Laszlo Fulop as its Head of Property Management (PM) and appointed Benjamin Blackaby as the Head of  Facilities Management (FM) in Saudi Arabia.

Fulop will focus on multiple areas: tenant relationship management, cost management, commercial lease negotiations, and more in Saudi Arabia.

He will also handle the guidelines of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) as well as environmental, health, and safety (EHS). Fulop has more than 20-year experience in managing and leasing properties across several asset classes, besides offering consultancy services to developers and occupiers. Before joining Savills, he was the Head of Property Management at Budapest Airport.

Holding a master’s degree in real estate development and management from Heriot-Watt University, Fulop is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

Meanwhile, Blackaby joined the Kingdom from Savills in the UK where he spent more than six years. The new official was the Operations Director and was responsible for implementing the company’s strategy.

Ramzi Darwish, Head of Saudi Arabia at Savills, noted: “Both of them [Fulop and Benjamin] bring a high level of expertise to the business which will be an invaluable asset in further expanding their respective service lines.

Darwish added: “Whilst our main focus has been on commercial assets, we have also built strong relationships across the residential sector with landlords of key compounds and have formed closed connections with top residential developers. The residential sector is key in expanding the breadth of PM and FM services that Savills has to offer.”
