Saudi stock market plunges on Wednesday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The benchmark All Share Index (TASI) of the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) closed Wednesday in decline by 19.69 points (0.16%) at 12,654.65 points.

The trading value was SAR 12.47 billion through the exchange of 277.67 million shares.

The majority of the sectors declined, led by the commercial segment which went down by 2.32%. Meanwhile, the top gainer was the energy sector which rose by 3.23%.

Saudi Arabian Amiantit led the fallers with 8.98%, while Saudi Cable advanced the risers with 5.45%.

Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Aramco) generated the highest turnover and largest trading volume, with 39.55 million shares exchanged at SAR 1.68 billion.

Similarly, Nomu-Parallel Market Capped Index (NomuC) fell by 38.58 points (0.15%) to close the session at 24,962.38 points. 

Alwasail Industrial was the top faller with 4.94%, while Al Jouf Mineral Water Bottling Company (Hilwa), which has started trading today, headed the risers with 30%.
