Saudi steel prices down 1%; cement hits 3-year high

Riyadh – Mubasher: Steel prices in Saudi Arabia maintained its downward trend during November, for the seventh consecutive month, reaching its second-lowest level during 2019.

Recent data by the Saudi General Authority for Statistics (GaStat) showed that the average steel price decreased to SAR 2,469.21 per ton by the end of last month, its lowest since January.

The average price decreased by 0.99% month-on-month (MoM), but rose by 0.7%, compared to its level at the end of 2018.

As for cement prices, the Kingdom witnessed an increase in cement prices during November to its highest average price in three years (36 months).

Reaching an average price of SAR 13.20 per 50 Kilograms, cement prices reached its highest level since November 2016.
