Saudi’s Binladin nears payment of dues to Egyptian workers – Minister

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s Minister of Manpower, Mohamed Saafan, said Saturday that the coming days few will see a breakthrough to the crisis of dues of the Egyptian employees of Saudi Binladin Group in line with a gradual repayment plan.

Dues will be paid in instalments with two months for each instalment.

Saafan issued directives to the ministry’s labour chancellor in the Egyptian consulate in Jeddah to follow-up to the financial dues of the Egyptian workers in the Saudi group who seek help to get their money and return to Egypt.

The ministry’s statement didn’t mention the dues value.

Binladin Group was banned from taking any projects in Saudi Arabia after the crane accident in Mecca in mid-September 2015.
