Riyadh – Mubasher: Cargo handling in Saudi ports, supervised by the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani), went up by more than 24 million tonnes in November 2020.
The total number of handled containers grew by 13.7% or around 622,000 containers in November on an annual basis through 962 vessels, according to a statement on Tuesday.
Moreover, the kingdom’s ports saw a rise in imported food products by 2.3 million tonnes or 29.8% yearly. In addition, livestock and car imports rose by 173,000 and 70,000, respectively.
