Saudi oil exports hike in December for sixth month in row

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s oil exports continued to rise in December 2020 for the sixth successive month, hitting its eight-month high.

The kingdom’s oil exports rose by 287,000 barrel per day (b/d) on a monthly basis in December 2020, reaching 7.708 million b/d, according to data collected by Mubasher based on figures from the Joint Organisations Data Initiative (JODI).

On an annual basis, the oil exports were down by 8.5% or 717,000 b/d last December, compared with 8.425 million b/d in the same month in 2019.

Furthermore, the GCC country’s crude exports hiked by 141,000 b/d in December 2020 to 6.495 million b/d, their highest level since April 2020.

Likewise, petroleum product exports increased by 146,000 b/d monthly in December 2020 to 1.213 million b/d.
