Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s general reserves decreased 6.4% in September, compared to the same month a year ago, the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) stated on Sunday.
The kingdom’s general reserves reached SAR 573.74 billion by the end of the previous month, against SAR 612.68 billion in September 2017, SAMA’s monthly bulletin added.
Month-on-month, the oil-rich nation’s general reserves inched down 0.01% in September from SAR 573.67 billion in August.
The GCC country’s current account value rose 210% to SAR 86.07 billion in September, against SAR 27.74 billion in the corresponding month a year earlier.
The value of Saudi current account grew 35% last month, against SAR 63.53 billion in August.
