Saudi firms requested to submit financials before 1 November

Riyadh-Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s ministry of commerce and industry urged companies to submit their financial statements through legal auditors no later than 1 November.

The companies failing to duly submit their statements may be penalised with a one-year jail term and fines, the ministry said in a statement.

It added that audited statements are submitted under the ministry’s Qawaem program, an electronic system aiming to boost transparency.
