Saudi Payments concludes several MoUs at Seamless KSA

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Payments, owned by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), has signed four memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with different technology-focused companies on the first day of Seamless Saudi Arabia 2023, which kicked off in the Saudi capital on 4 September.

SAMA’s unit penned the agreements with NymCard, Tharawat Technology, Saudi Credit Bureau (SIMAH), and Bayan Credit Bureau to empower innovation while offering a seamless, secure e-payment system.

NymCard was established by Omar Onsi in 2018 to offer a modern, flexible payment platform that is able to serve the needs of both consumers and businesses across the MENA region.

As for Tharawat Technology, the company was incorporated in 2013 as one of the leading firms in the Saudi digital economy. It has a network of exclusive vendors for international technology enterprises in addition to a team of experts, consultants, senior engineers, and technicians.

SIMAH, meanwhile, is a closed joint stock company with a capital amounting to SAR 400 million.

As for the fourth company Bayan, it acts as a business-to-business (B2B) credit information provider in the GCC region.

Earlier, Seamless entered into a strategic partnership with Saudi Payments to be held under the patronage of Ayman Mohammed Al Sayari, the Governor of SAMA.
