Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has donated $50 million to restore ramshackle buildings in Ancient Jeddah, as the first phase, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.
The donation aims at restoring the historical sites along with UNESCO's prerequisites to enlist Ancient Jeddah on the World Heritage List, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
The project will be implemented by Saudi nationals, under well-experienced supervisors specialised in this field in a bid to keep the distinctive face of Ancient Jeddah and its unique architectural features that have an over 500-year old history.
