Riyadh – Mubasher: The 14th edition of the International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) will kick off on 21 February in Saudi Arabia, with Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Aramco) being exclusive of the event.
The conference will focus on technology and relevant industry issues that form a challenge to industry specialists and leaders worldwide.
The CEO plenary session of the three-day event, which lasts until 23 February, will discuss the global recovery for a sustainable future. Among the participants will be the CEOs of Aramco, Amin Nasser; Tengku Muhammad Taufik from Petronas; and Occidental Petroleum’s Vicki Hollub. This is in addition to Scott Sheffield and Olivier Le Peuch, the CEOs of Pioneer Natural Resources and Schlumberger, respectively.
Held under the patronage of Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, IPTC will feature more than 150 exhibitors that will present their latest technologies, products, and services.
Nasir Al Naimi, IPTC 2022 Executive Committee Chair, Senior Vice President, Upstream, Saudi Aramco, said, “Following on from the tremendous success of IPTC 2020, this time around the conference shall be held in Riyadh, thus elevating the event’s exposure to global thought leaders and opinion shapers.”
Al Naimi noted that this year’s conference is sponsored by four premier petroleum organisations and societies at least.
IPTC was first founded in 2005, as a result of collaboration between the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE), the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
It is worth noting that last month, Saudi Arabia hosted the first-ever Future Minerals Forum for three days.
