Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia has temporarily suspended travel to and from nine countries for its citizens and residents in a bid to curb the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday quoting an official in the Interior Ministry.
The countries are the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon, Syria, South Korea, Egypt, Italy, and Iraq.
The Gulf state also suspended the entry of passengers arriving from those countries or anyone who has been there during the 14 days prior to their arrival.
All flights and naval trips between Saudi Arabia and the nine countries will be suspended, excluding evacuation and commercial flights and ship services.
Previously, Saudi Arabia temporarily restricted entry to the kingdom for passengers from the UAE, Kuwait, and Bahrain to the airports only amid coronavirus fears.
