Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia has created the Department of Maritime Activities to enhance the tourism sector in line with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, state-run news agency SPA reported.
The department will oversee the Red Sea operations room in Jeddah, which was recently set up in the participation of 12 ministries and agencies to facilitate and regulate procedures for yachts entry.
It will also license and regulate marine activities such as marine sports, diving, picnic and entertainment, and marine tourism.
