Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s real estate price index went up 0.4% in the second quarter (Q2) of 2021 compared to Q2-20, due to 0.8% rise in residential properties, according to official data.

An annual decrease in commercial and agricultural real estate prices by 0.5% and 0.2%, respectively, contributed to reducing the increase in the general index.

On a quarterly basis, the Kingdom’s real estate prices were stable in Q2-21, down by 0.03% when compared to Q1-21, according to the Saudi General Authority for Statistics (GaStat).

Residential real estate prices went up 0.2% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) in Q2-21, mainly due to 0.3% higher prices of residential land plots.

Commercial real estate prices decreased 0.5% QoQ, while the agricultural real estate prices did not change in a significant way.
