Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority's (SAMA) total assets increased by 0.72% year-on-year and 0.48% month-on-month during June 2018, recording SAR 1.94 trillion ($517.3 billion).
This increase was attributed to the growth in SAMA’s deposits and in its reserves of gold and foreign cash, which reached SAR 426.4 billion and SAR 256.6 billion, respectively, in June, according to an official statement.
On the other hand, SAMA’s investments in the securities abroad declined 4.9% year-on-year to SAR 1.206 trillion last month.
In May, assets at SAMA declined 0.36% year-on-year and 0.27% month-on-month, recording SAR 1.93 trillion.
