Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia's gross domestic product (GDP) per capita has amounted to SAR 26,961 during the first quarter (Q1) of 2022, up 33.80% from Q1-21.
The GDP per capita increased by about 13.60% in Q1-22 from Q4-21, according to the latest data by the Saudi General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).
It is noteworthy to mention that in the January-March period of 2022, the Kingdom’s GDP rose by nearly 9.90%, marking the highest growth rate since 2011.
The GASTAT pointed out that the higher GDP is due to the surge in oil activities by around 20.30% year-on-year (YoY) in Q1-22, non-oil activities by 3.70%, and government activities by 2.40%.
