Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Grains Organization (SAGO) has issued the third tender for 2021 to import 720,000 tonnes of wheat, according to an official statement.
The wheat is scheduled to be supplied during the July-September 2021 period.
The 12 shipments will arrive at Jeddah Islamic Port, Yanbu Commercial Port, and King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam.
Since the beginning of the year, SAGO has awarded tenders to import 650,000 tonnes of wheat. The authority is currently receiving quantities of local wheat from farmers as part of the local wheat season, which started last month.
Earlier this week, the Saudi Agriculture and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC) said its first cargo of Australian wheat was shipped from Port Kembla.
