Saudi Arabia lifts travel ban on 11 countries

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia has lifted the travel restrictions it earlier imposed on 11 countries including the UAE, the US, and the UK, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The ban has been lifted also for those arriving from Germany, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, and Sweden, as well as Switzerland, France, and Japan.

This has followed official reports about the stability of the epidemiological situation in a number of declared countries, besides the effectiveness of controlling the pandemic in some of these countries.

Saudi Arabia has reopened its air, land, and sea borders since 17 May. The authorities said travelling will be authorised to Saudi citizens who have received two vaccination shots, or one shot at least 14 days prior to travel, those who recovered from COVID-19 within the last six months, and citizens who are younger than 18 years old.
