Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Kingdom’s Prime Minister and the Chairman of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), unveiled the launch of Diriyah Project.
This will be the PIF’s fifth giga-project after NEOM, Red Sea, Qiddiya, and Roshn developments to reflect Diriyah’s position as a unique destination with distinctive cultural, historical, and tourism landmarks.
Tourists will be able to explore and get to know Saudi Arabia’s history and its culture at Diriyah’s museums and purpose-built pavilions, according to a press release.
PIF’s giga-projects are essential in creating new economic ecosystems and launching new sectors for the growth and diversification of Saudi Arabia’s economy.
The Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA), which was founded by a Royal decree in 2017, will continue its regulatory and supervisory role in preserving the heritage and history of Diriyah.
DGDA will also continue serving the Diriyah community while providing full support to establish the Diriyah project as one of the world’s most prominent tourist destinations.
The Diriyah giga-project aims to enable strategic domestic sectors and create partnerships with the local private sector, in addition to unlocking many new investment opportunities throughout its development and production phases. This will cover several segments like construction, operation and management of hotels, retail, entertainment, and cultural facilities. It will further create thousands of new job opportunities.
