Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Investment said it had issued 306 investment licences during the third quarter (Q3) of 2020, an annual increase of 21% and a quarterly surge of 96%.
The ministry noted that the July-September period witnessed a quick recovery in the number of new licenced foreign investment projects when compared to the second quarter, according to a statement on Tuesday.
According to recent data from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) and the UNCTAD, foreign direct investment (FDI) rate in the kingdom rose by 7.9% in the first half (H1) of the year, whereas shrank by 49% globally.
