Riyadh - Mubasher: Saudi Arabia has pumped over SAR 700 billion to boost its green economy and create investment opportunities in the private sector while providing job vacancies, SPA news agency cited the Saudi Minister of Finance, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Jadaan.

In line with its Vision 2030, the Kingdom carried out different programmes and environment-friendly projects to enhance energy efficiency and achieve net-zero carbon dioxide emissions by 2060.

Saudi Arabia launched a number of initiatives that contribute to reducing carbon emissions by more than 278 million tonnes annually and increasing renewable energy capacity nationwide by 2030.

Al Jadaan noted that the Kingdom’s non-oil economy grew by 5.4% year-on-year (YoY) during the second quarter (Q2) of 2022, while the gross domestic product (GDP) jumped by 11.8% YoY

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) recently expected that the Saudi economic growth rate will surge to 7.6% in 2022 from 3.2% last year.
