Saudi Arabia extends entry ban for one more week

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia announced that it will extend ban on entry to the kingdom by air, land, and sea for another week, state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The step comes in an effort to ensure the safety of citizens and expatriates. However, exceptional cases and the movement of goods, commodities, and supply chains will be exempted from the ban.

The departure of non-Saudis through flights will be allowed, in line with the precautions adopted by the Ministry of Health.

On 20 December, the GCC country suspended international flights for travellers and entry to the kingdom through the land and sea ports temporarily for a week after the spread of a new strain of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in a number of countries.
