Saudi Arabi’s HRcom closes seed round

Riyadh – Mubasher: KSA-based recruitment system HRcom secured investment in a seed round from SMASCO, Professional Recruitment, Squadio, and a group of angel investors.

The fund will be used for expanding HRcom, recruiting more staff, and developing new products, according to a recent press release.

Established in 2020, the startup focuses on digitising hiring procedures and enhancing selection standards, offering solutions for managing hiring procedures through an all-encompassing digital system.

Founder & CEO, Ziyad Al Twaijri, stated: “At HRcom aims to be the ideal solution for digitising recruitment processes for different types of organizations, as we strive to be the best recruitment system provider for corporates in the MENA."

Last year, the enterprise software sector in KSA rose to new heights when Unifonic, a customer engagement platform, closed a mega round of over $100 million.

This year, the region's SaaS space has seen a number of notable rounds, including the likes of Elevatus, a startup providing artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for HR, Mozn, and ZenHR, a cloud-based Human Resources Management System (HRMS).

The startups collectively raised up to $30 million with the SaaS space in the kingdom almost surpassing the $50 million mark.
