Riyadh-Mubasher: Sadara Basic Services Co. said the butanol production plant, which is owned by Saudi Butanol Co. (SABUCO), has started the commercial operations, according to a bourse statement.
The commercial operations followed the successful testing of the plant's equipment and production efficiency in accordance with the technology licenses and implementation contracts.
SABUCO is a joint venture between Sadara, Kayan and Saudi Acrylic Acid Co. (SAAC).
The production will be distributed among partners in accordance with their tolling and processing agreement.
"It is currently not possible to determine the financial impact that commercial operations will have on Sadara", the statement added.
