SNB’s profits jump 59% in H1-22 interim results

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi National Bank (SNB) has registered SAR 9.09 billion in net profit during the first half (H1) of 2022, a leap of 58.82% from SAR 5.72 billion in H1-21.

Earnings per share (EPS) stood at SAR 1.99 in H1-22, versus SAR 1.46 in H1-21, according to the interim financial results on Wednesday.

The clients' deposits inched up by 0.83% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 593.01 billion in the January-June 2022 period, compared to SAR 588.13 billion.

Meanwhile, the bank's assets totalled SAR 958.47 billion in the first six months (6M) of 2022, up 6.81% from SAR 897.35 billion in the year-ago period.

In the second quarter (Q2) of 2022, the net profits amounted to SAR 4.58 billion, an annual hike of 98.14% from SAR 2.31 billion.

A week ago, the Saudi lender paid out cash dividends worth SAR 4.92 billion, which represent 11% of the capital, for H1-22.

During the January-March 2022 period, SNB reported net profits of SAR 4.50 billion, higher by 32.10% than SAR 3.40 billion in Q1-21.
