Cairo - Mubasher: The Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) has signed an agreement with H2 Industries, a Germany-based energy storage specialist, to establish a waste-to-green hydrogen plant in the Zone in exchange for around $4 billion.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the sixth edition of 'Egypt Can With Industry' conference, being held in the New Administrative Capital, according to a press release on Wednesday.
As part of Egypt's strategy for a green economy, yhe waste-to-green hydrogen plant has a production capacity of 300,000 per year.
It is noteworthy to mention that the SCZONE has previously inked six memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with international companies to launch projects for hydrogen and green fuel production.
