Riyadh – Mubasher: The assets of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) fell in April 2017 by 11.9% to SAR 1.956 trillion, versus SAR 2.221 trillion in April 2016, the lowest level since August 2011.
SAMA’s assets 0.8% compared to SAR 2 trillion in March 2017, according to the authority's monthly bulletin.
Investment in foreign securities levelled down in April to SAR 1.28 trillion from SAR 1.31 trillion in March.
On the other hand, other miscellaneous assets increased to SAR 57.3 billion from SAR 36.4 billion in March, and deposits with banks abroad rose to SAR 357.6 billion from SAR 353.1 billion.
