Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Grains Organization (SAGO) said on Monday it purchased 660.000 tonnes of animal feed barley.
Governor of SAGO said that 25 qualified international companies specialised in grains trade were invited to the tender, of which 17 competed to supply the offered quantities, adding that six global companies offered the lowest rates of shipments and were selected, according to an official statement.
The barley will be delivered to the GCC state during March and April 2021.
Last week, the Saudi main state wheat buying agency issued this year’s first tender to buy 480,000 tonnes of animal feed barley.
