Cairo – Mubasher: Rimco EGT Investment has increased its ownership in Edita Food Industries to 5.35% from 3.97% for a total value of EGP 101.50 million.
Rimco purchased 10 million shares in Edita at an average price of EGP 10.15 per share, according to a recent stock exchange statement.
EFG Hermes acted as a broker in the transaction.
During the first half (H1) of 2022, Edita’s net earnings surged by 89.60% year-on-year (YoY) to EGP 374.91 million, compared with EGP 197.73 million, including minority shareholders’ rights.
Sales of the EGX-listed company grew to EGP 3.13 billion during the period from January to June in 2022, compared with EGP 2.31 billion in the year-ago period.
