Cairo – Mubasher: Remittances of Egyptians living abroad increased by $1.8 billion or 8.5% year-on-year (YoY) to $23.4 billion in the first nine months of fiscal year (FY) 2020/2021, compared to $21.5 billion.
In March, remittances of Egyptian expatriates rose by 11% to $2.9 billion from $2.6 billion in March 2020, according to data by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
During the first quarter (Q1) of 2021, the remittances registered $7.85 billion, down from $7.87 billion in Q1-20.
