Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: RAK Cement bought back 797,000 shares on 29 June, representing 9.13% of its capital, according to a bourse statement.
The company purchased the shares at AED 0.79 each, totalling AED 630,000.
As a result, the number of treasury shares grew to 51.06 million, with 4.84 million shares remaining to be purchased.
The company’s stock rose 1.27% to AED 0.80 by 12:15pm UAE time, with a turnover of AED 19,040 generated from the exchange of 23,810 shares.
