Doha – Mubasher: The trading activity of 11 Qatari licensed brokerage firms increased in August by 32%, with a total turnover of QAR 13.6 billion, versus QAR 10.3 billion for July.
The total number of transactions amounted to 199,800 in August, 70.7% up from 116,350 transactions in July.
The Group Securities Company acquired 35% of total transactions with 69,900 deals, compared to 48,320 transactions in July.
The highest turnover also went to the Group Securities Company with QAR 3.3 billion, representing about 24.3% of total turnover.
Total traded value reached QAR 83 billion in the first 8 months of 2016, the Group Securities Company owned the lion’s share with QAR 27.48 billion or 33.1% of total turnover.
