Doha – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose in Monday’s early trading by 0.2% or 19.2 points to the level of 9,657.12 points.
The index closed yesterday with a fall of 1.8% or 175 points to the level of 9,638.26 points.
Trading volume reached 1.02 million shares exchanged at QAR 35 million through 790 transactions.
The transportation sector gained 0.67%, and the banking sector grew 0.18%, backed by the rise in Doha Bank, First Gulf Bank (QFB) and Qatar National Bank (QNB).
Meanwhile, the telecom was the worst performing sector after falling 1.02%, pressured by a 1.3% decline in Ooredoo.
Widam Food topped gainers by adding 2.1%, whereas Al Khalij Takaful led decliners with a drop of 2.5%.
Masraf Al Rayan made the highest trading activity as 193,700 shares were exchanged at QAR 6.4 million.
