Mubasher: The number of new businesses in Qatar hiked by 21.1% month-on-month in April 2018, according to the ministry of economy and trade’s monthly bulletin.
The number of registered companies reached 2,300 in the fourth month of 2018, compared to 1,900 a month earlier, the ministry's data showed.
The limited liability companies topped the registered firms making up 63% of the total number, while corporations owned by a single person, the individual and foreign companies accounted for 27%, 9% and 1%, respectively, the ministry highlighted.
The number issued trade licenses in April rose to 7,900 including 5,300 amended licenses.
On the other hand, the number of companies that ended their business reached 313 in the previous month, representing 13.6% of the total established companies.
