Qatar’s holdings of US Treasuries fall 4% MoM in October

Doha – Mubasher: Qatar’s holdings of the US Treasuries dropped 3.9% month-on-month in October, registering $1.22 billion, the US Department of Treasury said in a report.

All of the Qatari US bond holdings are long-term notes, it added.

Globally, China topped US Treasury holders, with $1.13 trillion bonds, followed by Japan and Brazil, which held US bonds of $1.02 trillion and $313.9 billion, respectively, in October.

In the Arab World, Saudi Arabia led the region, holding $171.36 billion US Treasuries, while the UAE came second with $57.7 billion bonds.
