Mubasher: Qatar's emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Tuesday is to launch the Water Security Mega Reservoirs Project at QAR 14.5 billion in investments.
Located in Umm Salal Ali region, the project will be implemented by Qatar General Electricity and water Corporation “Kahramaa”.
Kahramaa also noted that this water project will be set up in Umm Salal, Al Thumama, Rawdat Rasid, and Umm Birka areas.
The state-owned facility’s current capacity stands at 960 million gallons, while it will reach 2.300 million gallons by the end of the first phase.
The number of tanks amounts to 15 with a capacity of 100 million gallons each.
