Qatar bourse in red at open

Doha – Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange opened mid-week trading session on a lower note.

The benchmark index lost 33 points, or 0.33%, to reach 9,783.89 points by 9:55am Qatari time.

All sectors initiated the session in the red territory. The insurance led the losers with a 0.97% slide, then followed by the transportation (-0.68%), the banking (-0.37%) and finally the real estate sector (-0.06%).

Dlala Brokerage headed the advancers by 3.36%, while Doha Bank topped the losers by 2.58%.

In terms of value and volume, the Commercial Bank of Qatar was the most active stock with 290,300 shares traded at QAR 10.5 million. Yet, it opened the session lower by 1% approximately.

The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) declined on Monday by 0.27% or 26.1 points to the level of 9,816.75 points.
