Mubasher: Qatar Rail announced signing an agreement with Careem in Qatar.
Under the agreement signed on Sunday, Careem Qatar will offer special discounts to metro passengers who book a taxi to travel from and to Doha Metro stations.
The agreement was signed by Qatar Rail CEO and managing director Abdulla Abdulaziz Al Subaie, and Careem's general manager for the GCC Khaled Nuseibeh in Doha, Qatar Rail said in a statement.
"This is the second agreement we have signed offering taxi fare promotion for metro passengers. We are confident that our partnership with Careem Qatar would positively contribute to our customer overall experience,” Al Subaie commented.
The deal comes as part of the railway company's strategy to provide solutions to complete the full transportation cycle for metro users and passengers. Moreover, it will help in increasing metro ridership, paving the way to achieve the company's vision to be the most-favoured mode of transport in Qatar.
"This partnership allows us to provide Qatar's residents and visitors with a world-class service through our great customer service and cutting-edge technologies,” Nuseibeh said.
It is worth noting that Dubai-based Careem is one of the top ride-hailing applications in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), serving up to 24 million passengers in the region.
