QSE starts Monday in red

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Monday’s trading session in negative territory, dragged by the fall of fours sectors.

By 09:55 am Qatar time, the general index inched down 0.12% to 9,835.57 points, losing 11.48 points.

Turnover amounted to QAR 7.11 million after 302,490 shares traded through 92 transactions.

The transportation sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 0.27% on the back of Qatar Navigation’s (Milaha) 0.73% drop.

Similarly, the industrial sector plunged 0.14% as Qatari Investors Group retreated 1.95%.

Meanwhile, the goods and services sector headed the bourse’s gainers adding 0.79% due to Al Mannai’s 3.51% jump.

Doha Bank’s stock, which levelled down 1.14%, led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 155,200 shares, generating QAR 3.4 million in liquidity.
